Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how American Building Development (“ABD”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information through our website abdteam.com, our forms, and our phone, text and email communications, and the choices and rights you have. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in more detail in our Cookie Notice.
SMS consent and phone numbers will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request an estimate, use the siding cost calculator, or contact us, we collect what you enter, which may include your name, phone number, email address, property address, the services you are interested in, whether you are interested in financing, your preferred appointment time, project details, your calculator answers and estimate, and any photos or videos you upload. If you apply for a job, we collect your name, contact details, the position you are applying for, your message and any resume or files you upload. When you call, text or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and the content of your communication.
Information collected automatically. When you submit a form, we receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details, which we use to deliver your request and protect our forms from spam and abuse. If you rate an article on our blog, we store your rating together with your IP address and approximate country to prevent duplicate votes. When optional Analytics or Advertising is on, we and our providers also collect information about how you use the site, the pages or ads that brought you to us, and identifiers stored in your browser. Analytics, which in the United States includes Google Ads conversion measurement, is on by default for visitors in the United States and otherwise only if you allow it; Advertising is on only if you allow it. See our Cookie Notice.
Information from others. If you allow Advertising, or through Google Ads conversion measurement in the United States, ad platforms may tell us which ad or campaign led to your visit, call or estimate request, using a click identifier.
We do not ask for and do not collect payment card numbers, bank account details or credit information through this website.
How we use information
- To respond to your request, prepare estimates, schedule appointments, and provide and manage our home improvement and construction services.
- To communicate with you about your request and project by phone, email and, if you opted in, text message.
- To review job applications and communicate with applicants.
- To process payments and manage billing for work we perform (payments are not taken through this website).
- To keep our website and forms secure and prevent spam and fraud.
- To gather feedback and improve our services.
- To measure how the site is used and, in the United States, which of our Google ads lead to estimate requests, calls and Google Maps visits (Analytics) — by default for visitors in the United States, who can switch it off at any time, and otherwise only with your permission.
- With your permission only: to measure and improve our advertising (Advertising).
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
Phone calls and text messages (SMS)
When you submit a request, you ask us to contact you about it, and we may call you at the number you provide about your request and project.
Text messages are optional and separate. We send text messages only if you check the SMS box on our form (or otherwise opt in). Entering a phone number on its own is not consent to receive text messages, and you can request an estimate without opting in to texts. Our SMS program covers transactional and informational messages about your request or project. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Program details are in the SMS Program Terms.
We keep a record of your SMS opt-in or opt-out separately from your cookie choices. SMS consent and phone numbers will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who receives your information
We do not sell personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below.
Service providers that help us handle your request. Your estimate request or job application, including uploaded files, is stored on our website host (Hostinger) and sent to the tools our team uses to manage requests and follow up: workflow automation (Zapier and n8n), our customer and project database (Airtable), internal team notifications (Telegram) and email. These providers process the information on our behalf to deliver your request to our team.
Call tracking and advertising partners — only with your permission. If you allow Advertising and have not opted out of sale/sharing, we use Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising tools, CallRail call tracking, and Google tags managed through Google Tag Manager to measure and improve our advertising. These partners may use information collected through our site for cross-context behavioral advertising, which California law treats as “sharing”. When Analytics is on — by default in the United States, otherwise if you allow it — Google Analytics (without Google signals and without ad personalization) and Ahrefs Web Analytics help us understand how the site is used. In the United States, Analytics also tells Google Ads when a visit leads to an estimate request, a call or a Google Maps visit, without your name, email address, phone number or form entries and without ad personalization; it stops when you turn Analytics off, send a GPC signal or opt out of sale/sharing. Details are in our Cookie Notice.
Legal and business reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect our rights, customers or the public, or in connection with a merger, sale or transfer of our business.
Links on our site to social networks, Google Maps or our other websites take you to sites that have their own privacy practices. Your choices on this site do not carry over to them.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Advertising tools are off until you allow them, except Google Ads conversion measurement in the United States, which runs with Analytics. Analytics tools run by default if your browser is set to a United States time zone (not while it sends a Global Privacy Control signal) and are off until you allow them everywhere else; see How your choices work. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. You can also opt out on this browser through Your Privacy Choices; no account or verification is needed. We do not use the contents of your form entries, uploaded photos or job applications for analytics or advertising.
How long we keep information
We keep estimate requests, project records and related communications for as long as needed to respond to you, perform and support our work (including warranty service), and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We keep job applications for as long as needed to complete the hiring process and meet legal record-keeping requirements. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our Cookie Notice; your cookie choice is kept in your browser for 12 months. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Your rights and how to make a request
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it, and get a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information we hold about you;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
- opt out of marketing communications and text messages;
- withdraw consent you have given, for example to optional cookies or text messages, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Opting out of sale/sharing takes effect on your browser immediately through Your Privacy Choices or a GPC signal. No account or identity verification is required.
To request access, correction or deletion, email info@abdteam.com or call 916-969-7475. Tell us what you are asking for and how to reach you. To protect your information, we will verify your request by matching details you give us with the information we hold before we provide or delete personal information. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that the agent is authorized. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children’s privacy
Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child, we will take steps to delete that information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. If we make a material change to how we use cookies or optional tools, we will ask for your choices again before applying it.
