After
BeforeThe homeowner contacted us because he felt that the structure’s condition had deteriorated significantly over the years – warped boards, weakened framing, and visible wear throughout. Our task was to completely dismantle the old deck and rebuild it from scratch.
Certain challenges arise when renovating a 35-year-old deck in Sacramento, CA.
The old structure had served the owners for 35 years and had become quite worn out over that time – warped boards, weakened framing, and a surface that was no longer safe to use. Our main task was to dismantle the structure without damaging the surrounding property.

Our team set out to build a new deck that would serve the owners for many years to come. To achieve this, we took into account the local climate and selected Trex composite decking – a material chosen specifically for its resistance to rot, fading, and moisture, and its minimal upkeep over time.
Our team focused on creating a durable, modern outdoor space in Sacramento, CA.
Our team chose Trex composite decking as the primary material. This material is resistant to moisture, rot, and fading. We designed the new deck using a reinforced frame structure. This ensured the structure’s reliability and stability. Our team also paid close attention to the structure’s aesthetic appeal.

Safety and structural integrity were the most important factors for our team in Sacramento, CA.
First, we completed the removal of the 35-year-old deck. Afterward, our team conducted a thorough foundation inspection to identify any issues before construction began.
After carefully dismantling the original structure, our team performed a detailed foundation assessment to detect and address any underlying issues. We then rebuilt the entire frame from the ground up using reinforced supports, securing every joint and fastener to ensure long-lasting durability and reliable outdoor performance.

The transformation is immediately visible.
What was once a grey, splintered deck with sagging boards and visible structural damage is now a warm, terracotta-toned Trex composite surface. The multi-level platform with its wide steps now sits confidently against the house, surrounded by mature trees and open backyard space.
In addition, the structure is now sturdier and safer, with an attractive finish made of Trex composite material.
